Role Overview

We are seeking undergraduate or graduate students for a summer internship to support research-driven projects. This role combines ML/AI experimentation with full stack or Python-based development. Interns will work on building prototypes, testing ideas, and contributing to research initiatives.

What does day-to-day life look like?

• Assist in ML/AI research tasks, including data collection, preprocessing, and model experimentation
• Build and test prototypes or internal tools using Python or full stack technologies
• Implement and evaluate machine learning models (basic to intermediate level)
• Work with datasets, APIs, and existing codebases to extend functionality
• Document findings, experiments, and results clearly
• Collaborate with the team on problem-solving and iterative development

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program (Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related fields)
• Must be based in the California Bay Area and available to work in US time zones
• Basic understanding of Machine Learning / AI concepts
• Proficiency in Python
• Familiarity with at least one of the following:
  • ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn), or
  • Full stack development (e.g., React, Node.js, APIs, databases)
    
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
• Ability to write clean, readable code
• Coursework or projects in ML/AI, Data Science, or Software Development (preferred)
• Experience with LLMs, NLP, or applied AI use cases (preferred)
• Exposure to cloud platforms or deployment workflows (preferred)
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub (preferred)

Offer Details

• Commitments Required: 40 hours per week with overlap of 8 hours with PST. 
• Engagement Type: Contractor assignment (no medical/paid leave)
• Duration of Contract: 3 months (adjustable based on engagement)
• Location: USA, California Bay area
