Certified Chef Consultant – AI Research & Annotation Project

Role Overview:

We are seeking experienced and certified Chefs to support an AI research initiative focused on improving visual reasoning and annotation quality for culinary-related educational content. You will use your professional expertise to evaluate, annotate, and reason through image-based and textual culinary data.

What does day-to-day look like:

• Provide expert annotations and insights / Reasoning on food images and related educational materials.
• Review and assess visual outputs for accuracy and realism.
• Collaborate with researchers to refine AI models for culinary understanding.

Candidate Requirements:

• Valid culinary certification and/or license from a recognized institution.
• Currently employed or actively working in the culinary industry.
• Strong understanding of food preparation, plating, and culinary presentation.
• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
• Prior experience with annotation, content evaluation & Reasoning, or training datasets is a plus.

Offer Details:

• Commitments Required : at least 4 hours per day and minimum 20 hours per week with 4 hours of overlap with PST. (We have 2 options of time commitment: 20 hrs/week or 40 hrs/week)
• Engagement type  : Contractor assignment/freelancer (no medical/paid leave)
• Duration of contract : 4 months
