Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Front End Engineer with strong expertise in React and Next.js to build scalable, high-quality user interfaces for RL environment platforms. The role involves owning UI development, contributing to backend integrations when needed, and ensuring performance, usability, and maintainability. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and help drive frontend architecture decisions.

What does day-to-day life look like?

• Build scalable, reusable, high-performance frontend applications using React
• Collaborate with product, design, backend, and QA teams
• Develop and maintain UI components and design systems
• Integrate with Python (FastAPI) backend services
• Optimize performance, scalability, and responsiveness
• Participate in architecture discussions and code reviews
• Troubleshoot UI issues and ensure cross-browser compatibility
• Ensure code quality through testing and best practices
• Mentor junior developers and support team growth

Requirements

• 5+ years of frontend development experience
• Strong expertise in React.js, Next.js, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
• Experience with state management (Redux, Context API, etc.)
• Experience with REST APIs and backend integration
• Good understanding of Python and backend concepts (FastAPI preferred)
• Experience building scalable applications and reusable UI architectures
• Familiarity with Git, build tools (Webpack/Vite), and testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Playwright)
• Understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and Agile workflows

Nice to have skills

• Experience with micro frontend architecture and design systems
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps (Docker, CI/CD)
• Exposure to authentication/authorization systems
• Experience with performance monitoring or data-driven applications
• Strong communication, ownership, and collaboration skills

Offer Details

• Commitments Required: 40 hours per week with overlap of 4 hours with PST. 
• Engagement Type: Contractor assignment (no medical/paid leave)
• Duration of Contract: 2 months (adjustable based on engagement)
