About Turing
Turing is one of the world’s fastest-growing AI companies, accelerating the advancement and deployment of powerful AI systems.
Turing helps customers in two ways: Working with the world’s leading AI labs to advance frontier model capabilities in thinking, reasoning, coding, agentic behavior, multimodality, multilinguality, STEM, and frontier knowledge; and leveraging that work to build real-world AI systems that solve mission-critical priorities for companies.
Role Overview
We are seeking Technical & Scientific Sales Experts to generate, evaluate, and refine tasks related to technical sales engineering and scientific solutions for frontier AI initiatives. In this role, experts will build technically accurate, practical tasks that test AI model capabilities in technical discovery, solution-fit assessment, product positioning, and complex technical communication.
Requirements
- Professional Experience: ~3–8 years of hands-on experience in technical sales, sales engineering, scientific sales, or solutions architecture.
- Technical Background: Educational or professional background in a relevant STEM field (e.g., engineering, biotechnology, chemistry, software, or clinical sciences).
- Core Competencies: Proven experience leading technical discovery calls, evaluating customer requirements, mapping solution architecture, handling technical objections, and creating value propositions.
- Deliverable History: Proven track record of producing professional sales artifacts such as discovery briefs, technical proposals, solution architectures, product comparison matrices, and demo plans.
- Exceptional Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret complex technical specifications, identify customer pain points, and assess the feasibility of technical solutions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to review task scenarios and technical inputs to ensure practical realism and scientific/technical accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent written communication skills for writing realistic buyer-seller scenarios, technical prompts, and structured rubrics.
- Independence: Self-motivated and able to work independently, incorporate calibration feedback, and iterate under senior review.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be part of a specialized functional pod responsible for creating high-quality training and evaluation data for AI models. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Producing expert-level tasks and gold-standard solutions in technical and scientific sales that meet the pod's quality bar.
- Authoring realistic task scenarios involving technical discovery, customer requirements mapping, solution-fit evaluations, RFP responses, and technical objection handling.
- Applying rubric standards and grading frameworks set by the Functional SME (Expert) Lead.
- Working under senior review to incorporate calibration feedback, refine outputs, and iterate on task designs.
- Verifying that all created tasks, technical specs, and scenarios are accurate, realistic, and solvable using provided technical documentation.
- Ensuring consistent alignment with project guidelines, quality benchmarks, and milestone deadlines.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in any field.
- Experience in AI evaluation, data annotation, content review, quality assurance, or a related analytical role is preferred but not required.
