Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Audio Annotator to listen to audio recordings and accurately label, transcribe, categorize, and review audio data. The role supports the development and improvement of speech recognition systems, voice assistants, AI models, and machine learning applications.
The ideal candidate should have strong listening skills, good language proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to follow annotation guidelines carefully.
Key Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and annotate them according to project guidelines.
- Transcribe speech accurately, including words, pauses, background noise, speaker changes, and unclear speech where required.
- Label audio segments based on categories such as speech, music, silence, noise, emotion, intent, or speaker identity.
- Identify and mark timestamps for specific audio events.
- Review and correct annotations for accuracy and consistency.
- Follow quality standards and project-specific instructions.
- Report unclear audio, technical issues, or guideline ambiguities to the team lead.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive or personal audio data.
- Meet daily or weekly productivity and accuracy targets.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Good listening and comprehension skills.
- Strong command of the required language or dialect.
- Good typing and transcription skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and annotation guidelines.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with online tools.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Previous experience in transcription, data annotation, audio labeling, or quality review is preferred but not always required.
Offer Details:
- Commitments Required: at least 4 hours per day and minimum 30 hours per week with 4 hours of overlap with PST.
