About Turing:
Based in San Francisco, California, Turing is the world’s leading research accelerator for frontier AI labs and a trusted partner for global enterprises deploying advanced AI systems. Turing supports customers in two ways: first, by accelerating frontier research with high-quality data, advanced training pipelines, plus top AI researchers who specialize in coding, reasoning, STEM, multilinguality, multimodality, and agents; and second, by applying that expertise to help enterprises transform AI from proof of concept into proprietary intelligence with systems that perform reliably, deliver measurable impact, and drive lasting results on the P&L
Role Overview
We are looking for a practicing engineer with strong technical judgment and hands-on experience in Quality Control (QC), technical project delivery, or AI/data evaluation workflows. The role requires someone who understands not only how to execute technical work, but also how to determine whether tasks, outputs, evaluation criteria, and verification mechanisms meet a high quality bar.
What We’re Looking For
-
Practicing software engineer with strong technical fundamentals.
-
Previous experience as a QC expert, technical project lead, delivery lead, or equivalent technical owner.
-
Hands-on understanding of QC pipelines and strong intuition for what constitutes a high-quality task and an effective verifier.
-
Ability to independently assess technical correctness rather than relying only on automated QC results.
-
Strong ownership, reliability, and demonstrated ability to deliver consistently in demanding project environments.
-
Ideally, previous QC or delivery-lead experience on AI data, model evaluation, task generation, or similar projects, including experience with organizations such as Mercor, Micro1, comparable vendors, or similar engagements.
Nice to Have
-
Hands-on experience designing, implementing, or reviewing verifiers, rubrics, test cases, or task-quality frameworks at scale.
-
Experience owning the QC/verifier function for a previous technical project.
-
Prior technical leadership experience involving responsibility for final quality and delivery decisions.
-
Former technical leads or senior engineers who have previously owned the QC, evaluation, or verifier side of project delivery would be particularly relevant.
