We are seeking a highly motivated AI/ML Engineer with a strong background in Bioinformatics to develop and deploy machine learning models for biological and healthcare data. The ideal candidate will work at the intersection of computational biology, genomics, and artificial intelligence to build scalable solutions that drive biological discovery and translational research.
Key Responsibilities
Machine learning and AI development
- Design, develop, and deploy ML/DL models for biological datasets (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, multi-omics).
- Apply deep learning techniques (CNNs, RNNs, Transformers, GNNs) to biological sequence and structural data.
- Build predictive models for variant classification, drug discovery, disease risk prediction, biomarker identification, etc.
- Optimize models for performance, scalability, and reproducibility.
Bioinformatics and Data Processing
- Process and analyze high-throughput sequencing data (NGS, RNA-seq, WGS/WES).
- Develop data pipelines for preprocessing, normalization, feature engineering, and annotation.
- Work with biological databases such as NCBI, Ensembl, UniProt, TCGA, GEO.
- Implement statistical analyses and validation frameworks for biological experiments.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with:
- Genomic variant analysis pipelines (GATK, SAMtools, BCFtools)
- Structural biology or protein modeling
- Drug discovery or computational chemistry
- Multi-omics integration
- Familiarity with graph-based models for biological networks.
- Experience with LLMs in biomedical text mining.
- Publications in computational biology or AI-driven biomedical research.
- Experience working in regulated environments (HIPAA, GxP).
